We believe in the power of performing arts in
teaching children valuable social skills. A live show is
made possible when everyone involved works in
harmony.
As AmericaEd Performing Arts Program, it is our goal
to spark a light in each young mind for a passion
they might embrace later in life...
In all our past productions we aimed to achieve this
goal and tried to give everyone a responsibility they
can handle with joy. We are very proud of the team
effort and role modeling they all displayed.

Saturday Drama Club Presents
"Waltzing Matilda: A Kangaroo Story"
|

with original music & songs by Mrs. Mila and
written & directed by Mr. Joe.
This is the exciting adventure of Baby
Matilda, a little girl kangaroo. Matilda
lives in Australia with her mother Josette
and her brother Matthew. When Matilda was
very young her mother taught her how to dance the
“waltz” and Matilda was great at it. Soon
she became known as “Waltzing Matilda”
and would perform for all her family and friends. She
helped support her mom and brother by dancing in
shows and earning money.
One day a bad man named Mr. Pete saw
Matilda and thought that if he kidnapped her and
took her far away to some foreign lands, he could
make a lot of money. He and his gang of
"Meanies" devised a plan and kidnapped poor
Matilda.
An exciting, funny, and sometimes sad adventure of
“Waltzing Matilda” and how Matilda’s family
and friends join together to help rescue the Little
Dancing Kangaroo.
A heartwarming story, full of fun songs and dance
and wonderful animal characters who help tell an
inspirational tale of love and helping others.
